G-Dragon: One of a Kind

G.D is indeed "One of a Kind"

Kwon Ji-Yong aka G-Dragon or G.D is the leader of the K- Pop group Big Bang. This young Korean rapper, singer, producer, songwriter, dancer and model is one of the most popular iconic Asian star of the moment. G.D is not only famous because of his music, he has become a symbol of fashion. G-Dragon became the first Korean being sponsored by king brand Louis Vuitton.

I personally think that G.D is just the best! He is  a versatile artist, he can be rapping or singing a ballad and he still transmit his passion and emotions through his music. He has a charisma that captivates the audiences to the heart. His versatility is what has made him become "one of a kind". I never get tired of listening to his music and watching his videos because there is always something unique about them. Each of his songs and videos do not only portray the passion that he has for his music, but also the effort and dedication he puts in his productions.
I was already captivated by him and his music before knowing more about his story. Learning more about it made me admire him more. Many people from the entertainment industry see G.D as prodigy because of his incredible success at his young age of 25, but to him is just living that dream that became reality 12 years ago.

G-Dragon: "Remember Back in the Day"

I'd like to share with all of you a brief summary of his story, I think its very motivational, and it shows a more human side of the singer.

"The lyrics that I’m writing with no space in between have my philosophy. I’ve came here with no rest since I was 13, my mightiest weapon was my confidence."

G-Dragon started his career at age 13 when YG Entertainment noticed him, and took him as a trainee to become part of Big Bang. However, G.D made his debut in the music industry with the song "my age is 13", song that was compiled in the Korean hip-hop Flex Album. His career wasn't always successful, and although he was a YG trainee he spent his 1st year cleaning the studios for the big artists and fetching water during dance practices. It was a difficult year for our G.D but worth it because that led him to his training to become the leader of Big Bang.

G-Dragon released his first solo album "Heartbreaker" in 2009. He wrote and composed every single song in this album. His lead song "Heartbreaker" became a hit along with the album. He had a successful tour around Asia. Regardless of the scandals that he encountered during this time our G.D never gave up and continued making good music for all his fans. His second album," One of a Kind", was released in September of 2012. G.D's most recent album release is Coup D'Etat. He has released MV for his songs Coup D'Etat, Crooked ,and the most recent one Who You?

Coup D'Etat songs are all good, and they showed how G.D has changed throughout this past years. I think this album let us see G-Dragon in a more mature stage of his career. This album has various musical genres and styles that reminds us why G.D is One of a Kind. Definitely another success of this K-Pop singer.
One of my favorite songs of this album is Who You, so follow the link below to watch the official MV.

兰陵王 Lan ling wang

To all my Asian addicts I gotta say that Lan Ling Wang is so far one of my favorite Chinese historical dramas. Everything about this drama is just extraordinarily amazing.

If you like all that mystique and uniqueness that surrounds historical dramas, then this drama is definitely worth watching! This Chinese drama gives the audience a little bit of everything: action, romance, comedy and historical information. The production is also well executed. The design of the costumes, soundtrack, special effects  and landscapes fit perfectly with the story.

This story is based on the story of Gao Xiaoguan, also know as the Prince of Lanling county. Although, the writer changed the story a little bit it is still a drama that is worth watching. The drama has a total of 46 episodes, is quite long and as the story develops you will find it a bit slow, so be patient because I really think it is a drama that's worth watching. Also if you are fan of Ariel Lin, Feng Shao Feng and Daniel Chan you have to watch it because they are the leads of the drama.

Enjoy the music!!!

Opening song:  Ru Zhen Qu/ Into the array 【入阵曲】by Mayday

Ending Song: Heart of Palms/ Shou Zhang Xin【手掌心】by Della ft V.K

Welcome to Asian Addicts: Today we're talking about the Heirs!!

Welcome to Asian Addicts blog.

If you watch Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese and Chinese drama then you have found the right place to get the latest news, reviews, music and Asian entertainment.

Let's talk about The Heirs!!

The latest drama of Lee Min Ho  and Park Shin Hye has finally started airing in Korea.  The Heirs aka the Inheritors, started airing on October 9, and with just 6 episodes it has shown outstanding ratings.
The story is based on the life of Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho) and Cha Eung-Sang (Park Shin Hye). This drama falls into the common Korean plot which is the love between a rich man and a poor woman.

In this drama I think that we have the opportunity to see how these two characters, regardless of their social status, deal with the conflicts between their brothers and sisters. In one hand, Kim Tan, the youngest Heir of the Empire Group, is trying to understand why his brother has kicked him out of his house and sent him to the States. On the other hand, Cha Eung-Sang has come to the States to find her sister, but unfortunately she has come to the States to realized that her sister lied to her and her mother. Cha Eung-Sang is grieving because her role model has turned out to be a lie, and now she is alone in a country that she doesn't know and has no money to go back to Korea. Later, we see some cute scenes that show us how these two lovers are interacting and spending time together. (My favorite one is the dinner at the restaurant where they are wearing the California shirts!! cutest thing ever!!!)

As the drama evolves, we will see Lee min Ho and Park Shin Hye's become more and more mature and face tensions with the other characters. For all the fans, we will see how the relationship between these two lovers gradually become more romantic.

So far there has been tension, romance and comedy in the episodes making the drama more entertaining. There are still many things that haven't been explained in the drama. For instance not knowing the deal between Kim Tan and his brother, or the reasons why Kim Tan and Choi Young Do hate each other so much will definitely keep all of us in suspense.

Don't miss out the next episodes of the Heirs and stay tuned for the next Asian addict post.
